Darwen Historian and ex-scorer Graham Groom put together the First Team records back in 1998. He amazingly began at square one with no records, it was 8 years previous he started his painstaking research in the local newspapers - the Darwen News and the Darwen Advertiser in the main.

I have then added the details from the Northern League website for the last 10 years. Hope you enjoy the results, some people's stats who talk a good game are very interesting!!

Thanks Graham for a magnificent effort to plot the First Team's history. Some details however were not available and a key to them are listed below:

Overs / Maidens - some figures were not available as newspapers only gave wickets and runs, a '+' indicates more overs bowled and a '?' unknown

Wickets - sometimes wickets were given but not runs so the average has only been calculated on the stats when both were available

I have been able to annotate the above statistics using extracts from the Northern League website. However there have been some spelling mistakes in a couple of the names (e.g. A Grogan, A Grocan and A Crocan - I have presumed this all relates to GrogiBear!).
